This Privacy Policy explains how Nexgig ("Nexgig", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Nexgig mobile application (the "App"). Nexgig is a booking and roster management platform that connects venue managers with artists (DJs and live performers).

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information that you provide or that is generated through your use of the App:

• Account information: your email address, phone number, name (including stage name and legal name), username, and password (stored securely by our authentication provider).
• Profile information: location (city/country), nationality, genres, instruments, bio, and the links you choose to add. For your profile picture you may either choose one of Nexgig's built-in avatars or upload a photo from your device's photo library. Uploaded photos are stored on our servers and shown to other users of the App. The App accesses your photo library only when you choose to upload a photo, and does not use your camera.
• Venue information (managers): venue names, addresses, venue type, capacity, descriptions, and related business details. Venue imagery is either supplied by Nexgig from the venue type you select, or a photo you upload from your device's photo library; uploaded venue photos are stored on our servers and shown to other users of the App.
• Booking and activity data: sets, bookings, lineup assignments, availability, reviews, invoices, and notifications generated through your use of the App.
• Device information: a push notification token (if you enable notifications) used to deliver alerts to your device.
• Diagnostic data: crash reports and error logs generated when the App encounters a problem, used to detect, diagnose, and fix issues. These reports may include your user ID so an error can be traced to the affected account. They do not include your name, email, or other contact details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the App's core features (booking, roster management, scheduling, invoicing);
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• Display your profile and activity to relevant managers or artists you connect with;
• Send you notifications about bookings, requests, and account activity;
• Improve and maintain the App.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

Nexgig is a two-sided platform, so some information is shared as part of normal use:

• When you connect with a manager or artist, relevant profile and booking details are visible to that connected party.
• You control the visibility of certain profile information. For example, artists can choose to show or hide their gig history from their public profile.
• We use trusted third-party service providers to operate the App, including Supabase (database, authentication, and hosting), Expo (push notifications), and Sentry (crash and error reporting). These providers process data on our behalf.
• We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Nexgig and its users.

4. Data Storage and Hosting

Your data is stored using Supabase, with servers located in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be processed and stored in that region.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account). When you delete your account, your private personal data is removed; some shared records (such as past bookings) may be retained in anonymized form for the integrity of other users' records.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@nexgigapp.com.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
